Attacks on Kyiv region and other regions of Ukraine
The Russian attack on the Kyiv region and other regions of Ukraine has led to significant destruction, civilian injuries, and the death of one person. As a result of the aggressors' actions, four areas of the Kyiv region have suffered, with numerous cases of destruction recorded.
- In Vyshhorod, windows were shattered in an apartment building due to shelling.
- In the Boryspil district, production facilities and two vehicles were damaged.
- In the Buchan district, a fire broke out at a construction site, causing concern among local residents.
- In the Obukhiv district, a municipal enterprise building was hit, resulting in additional losses for the community.
It is worth noting that during the attack, a truck driver from Ivano-Frankivsk was injured by shrapnel to the back. The man was hospitalized and received the necessary assistance.
Attack on Kherson and Chernihiv
On December 25, Russian invaders also attacked the central part of Kherson, where the city market was affected while people were present. This attack resulted in the death of one person and numerous injuries. On the same day, Chernihiv was shelled, damaging a residential building and a critical infrastructure site.
On the night of December 25, Russian terrorists struck the production facility of Kernel sunflower oil, causing damage to oil containers, a fire, and an oil leak. These events indicate a direct threat to the civilian population and critical infrastructure, as emphasized by a government representative.
“The enemy continues to deliberately target critical infrastructure and the civilian population,” said Mykola Kalashnikov.
These attacks occurred on Christmas Day, when, according to Prokudin, 'homes should be filled with light, silence, and family warmth.'
The current attacks highlight the continuation of aggression from Russia, directed not only at military objects but also at civilian infrastructure, resulting in serious humanitarian consequences for the population. Amid increased tension and festive days, these acts of violence resonate particularly strongly in society, emphasizing the importance of international support for Ukraine and the necessity to protect civilians from military actions. The development of the situation requires vigilance from Ukrainian security structures and activation of diplomatic efforts at the international level.
