Russian Strikes Target Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and Izmail, Damaging Homes and Infrastructure

Поразили стратегічні об'єкти в Кривому Розі, Дніпрі та Ізмаїлі, завдавши шкоди житловим районам та інфраструктурі.

Attacks on Kryvyi Rih and Izmail

On March 26, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging a key infrastructure facility. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties from this strike. Ukrainian air defense had earlier detected drones in the areas of Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro. In a separate attack on Dnipro, Russian forces used assault drones, damaging a 14-story residential building and injuring several residents.

In the early hours of March 26, Russian troops also attacked the Izmail district in the Odesa region. The primary targets were port and energy infrastructure facilities. Damage was recorded in the city of Izmail and within the Vylkivska community. These attacks on southern ports are part of a sustained campaign to disrupt Ukraine's vital agricultural and export corridors.

Shelling in Sumy Region and Attack Aftermath

Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 50 artillery strikes targeting 42 settlements in the Sumy region. Communities in the Sumy, Shostka, Konotop, and Okhtyrka districts came under fire. This intense shelling along the northern border is a daily reality for residents in these areas.

Furthermore, on March 23, Russian forces destroyed a dam on the Siverskyi Donets River near Raihorodok using two aerial bombs. It is known that water reserves in the first and second lift reservoirs will last for approximately two weeks. The full consequences of the shelling are still being assessed, as noted by Oleksandr Ganzha. Such strikes on water infrastructure pose a long-term threat to civilian water supplies in the region.

These events underscore the continued escalation of hostilities in Ukraine, particularly the systematic targeting of civilian infrastructure, which can have severe humanitarian consequences. Protecting critical infrastructure remains a priority, as such attacks can have lasting effects on the livelihoods of entire regions. Observers continue to monitor the situation, noting heightened Russian military activity across Ukrainian territory.

As the situation escalates, recent drone strikes have affected multiple regions in Ukraine, leading to injuries and significant damage to infrastructure. This pattern of attacks highlights the ongoing threat to civilian safety and essential services.
