In the early hours of February 8, Russian drones attacked Naftogaz facilities in the Poltava region, marking the 19th such assault on the state energy company's assets since the start of the year. The strikes caused confirmed impacts, resulting in damage to assets and equipment. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from this incident. Specialized services are currently working to mitigate the consequences. These attacks are part of a broader campaign targeting Ukraine's energy grid, which has intensified during the winter months.
That same night, Russian drones also attempted to strike critical infrastructure targets in the Lviv region. Separately, the port city of Odesa came under attack by strike drones, resulting in a fire at an industrial enterprise. Furthermore, Russian occupying forces attacked the Chuhuiv district in the Kharkiv region using a strike drone.
