Odesa Targeted in Nighttime Assault
Russian forces launched a drone attack on the port city of Odesa in the early hours of January 19, with explosions reported across the area. This assault is part of a broader offensive targeting port infrastructure in the Odesa region, which also included a strike on the Dnipropetrovsk Oil Extraction Plant. These attacks represent a continued focus on Ukraine's critical Black Sea export and industrial facilities.
According to available information, the strikes on Odesa region ports resulted in one fatality and left at least five people wounded. In a separate incident, the attack on the Dnipropetrovsk Oil Extraction Plant caused a spill of 300 tons of oil. Russian troops also targeted the Allseeds terminal in Pivdennyi and the Kernel oil and fat processing plant in Chornomorsk.
