Attacks Across Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions
In a separate incident in Chernihiv region, the building of the Pryluky city council was set ablaze following Russian attacks, as recorded on April 7, 2026. Furthermore, Russian forces carried out more than 10 drone attacks on the Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol, Pavlohrad, and Synelnykove districts of Dnipropetrovsk region.
- These shelling attacks resulted in the death of an 11-year-old boy, with five other people wounded.
- Separately, in the morning, Russian troops struck a minibus with a drone in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, killing three people and wounding more than ten.
These events underscore the ongoing intensity of the conflict in Ukraine, where strikes on civilian infrastructure are increasingly common. The human and material toll of such attacks continues to rise, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced protection for civilians and a sustained international response.
The recent drone strike in Chernihiv is part of a disturbing trend of escalating attacks on civilian infrastructure across Ukraine. Similar incidents have occurred in other regions, such as Odesa, where a nighttime strike resulted in casualties, including children.
