Latest Attacks on Ukraine
Russian forces have carried out another wave of drone strikes, targeting a port facility in the Odesa region and railway infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk. The attacks resulted in one fatality and six injuries. Significant damage was inflicted on the port's infrastructure, including fertilizer storage facilities and transport vehicles. Freight cars were also damaged, and a resulting fire left three of the injured in serious condition. All wounded have received necessary medical care.
Throughout the day, the Russian military also launched drone attacks against railway infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk; fortunately, these strikes caused no casualties. The damage sustained did not disrupt train traffic.
Situation in Odesa
In the early hours of February 13, Odesa came under another drone assault. Strikes hit two multi-story residential buildings, damaging apartments on the upper floors. Damage was also recorded in a city recreational area. The attacks ignited fires in utility structures, and in another district of Odesa, a commercial facility was struck, causing a fire on its premises.
These strikes underscore Russia's continued aggression against Ukraine, which has severe consequences for both civilians and critical infrastructure. Ukraine's ports and railways are vital economic lifelines, and their disruption has a direct impact on the country's ability to sustain itself during the conflict.
The events in Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast demonstrate the ongoing nature of the hostilities, with civilian areas remaining under threat. This raises significant concerns for public safety and regional stability as the war continues.
