On the night of September 11, Sumy drones were attacked by Russian occupiers, who struck at the region's educational infrastructure. According to the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleg Grigorov, during the attack, school buildings and vehicles of the educational institution were damaged. It is also reported that as a result of the attack, a residential area was affected.
Moreover, according to preliminary information, windows were damaged in three high-rise residential buildings.
Grigorov noted that the main blow was dealt to the educational sector and fortunately, no people were harmed.
Attack on Kyiv and losses from the defense
Additionally, for the first time since the beginning of the Russian military invasion, an attack was carried out on the building of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv. Fortunately, government workers remained unhurt.
It is worth noting that on the night of September 7, Kyiv was under attack by drones and rockets from Russian occupiers.
The body of a deceased man was discovered under the rubble of a collapsed building in the Svyatoshyn district of the capital. In total, as a result of the shelling, three people were killed, including a child.
Military achievements in August
Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to regain control over 58 square kilometers of territory and liberated several populated areas. In particular, in the Dobropillia direction, where Russian troops were conducting an offensive, the enemy seized 13.5 square kilometers but lost 25.5 square kilometers.
It should be noted that an operation to clear Volodymyrivka was carried out in the Donetsk region, and control was regained in three populated areas in the west of the region near Pokrovsk.
In August, the enemy army did not achieve such significant successes as before. During this time, Ukrainian forces continued active operations to liberate the territory from the occupiers.
