Russian Forces Unleash Large-Scale Assault on Ukraine
On October 10, Russian military units executed a significant offensive against Ukraine, deploying nearly 100 drones alongside two Zircon missiles. Yurii Ihnat stated: 'Throughout the day starting at 06:37, we have faced up to 100 drones attacking from multiple directions—south, north, and east—with the majority of enemy air strikes targeting the capital.'
He further noted: 'We are witnessing serious destruction caused by guided aerial bombs in Zaporizhzhia and Sumy regions.'
Following damage to an energy facility in the Kyiv region caused by drones, the city’s metro system was forced to halt operations, and residents experienced interruptions in electricity and water supply. Additionally, drones targeted Kharkiv, igniting a fire at a medical facility and injuring four people. For the first time, a Russian jet-powered drone reached Lviv, but Ukraine’s air defense successfully neutralized the threat.
