Combined strike on Ukraine
On the night of January 9, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine, focusing on Kyiv Oblast. A total of 278 aerial attack assets were used in the attack, including 36 missiles and 242 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Air Force of Ukraine successfully repelled the attack, destroying 244 aerial targets, including:
- 226 UAVs of the Shahed type
- 8 ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M'/'S-400'
- 10 cruise missiles 'Kalibr'
According to information, 18 missiles and 16 UAVs were reported hit at 19 locations. A series of explosions occurred in Lviv as a result of the attack, killing 4 people and injuring 24 others. The strike was recorded at 23:47, and the speed of the aerial targets was about 13 thousand km per hour.

In Lviv Oblast, an object of critical infrastructure was hit, as reported by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi. This situation emphasizes the ongoing threat from the aggressor and the importance of the readiness of Ukraine's defense forces.
