Attack on Ukraine on January 6
On the night of January 6, the enemy attacked Ukraine, using 61 strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed type. As of 08:30, the Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down 53 enemy UAVs.
Strikes on Nikopol and Synelnykove districts
The attack was targeted at several locations, where hits from eight strike UAVs were recorded. Russian troops struck the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts, using artillery and FPV drones. As a result of the attacks, the following were damaged:
- private homes
- farm structures
- gas pipeline
This attack is part of the ongoing hostilities in eastern Ukraine, where the use of unmanned aerial vehicles has become a common practice for Russian troops. Despite the significant effectiveness of the Ukrainian air defense system, numerous attacks lead to destruction of infrastructure and civilian objects, underscoring the continuing threat from the enemy in the region.
