Russian Drone Strikes Across Ukraine Result in Civilian Deaths and Widespread Damage

Загострення конфлікту: наслідки ворожих атак на мирних жителів та інфраструктуру України.

Widespread Military Assaults Across Ukraine

Russian forces carried out a series of drone attacks and bombardments across Ukraine overnight on March 12 and during the morning of March 11, causing destruction, fires, casualties, and injuries. According to information from 'Hlavkom' citing the State Emergency Service, the attacks specifically targeted settlements in the Kharkiv region, including the Zolochiv, Malynivka, and Velykoburlutsk communities, as well as the city of Kharkiv itself.

The shelling triggered multiple fires, injuring a 39-year-old woman. Infrastructure facilities and private homes were damaged. While firefighters were responding, the enemy struck the same area twice more, hitting a fire tanker, though the rescue workers were not injured.

Regional Impact and Casualties

In the early hours of March 12, Russian troops attacked the Koriukivka district of the Chernihiv region. A 15-year-old girl was killed in the shelling, and her parents were wounded. Separately, the Russian terrorist army struck the Dnipropetrovsk region, wounding two people.

Attacks also occurred on March 11. Russian forces launched a drone strike on a district police department in Shostka, Sumy region, destroying the building and wounding more than 22 officers. That same morning, Russians attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with a drone, resulting in deaths and injuries, and damaging the Kharkiv meat processing plant.

These incidents underscore the ongoing intensity of the conflict in Ukraine, now in its third year. The targeting of civilian infrastructure, including police facilities and residential areas, raises grave concerns for population safety. The mounting civilian death toll highlights the persistent humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the critical need for continued international support to protect human rights and ensure civilian security. These strikes are part of a broader pattern of aerial assaults that have escalated in recent months.
