The Ukrainian military command has no reliable data on the possible transfer of soldiers from North Korea to other directions for participation in military actions at the front. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that the military personnel from North Korea are still in reserve and preparing for future assignments. Currently, they are only on the territory of the Kursk region, and there is no accurate information about their possible relocation.
“It is possible that a transfer of North Korean troops from Kursk is being considered, but we currently have no information about the practical implementation of this plan,” Syrskyi noted.
Russia is providing support to North Korea in the form of modern military equipment and ammunition. This includes modern technology, missile armaments, combat aircraft, and various equipment in the fields of science and technology. The interaction between the countries also involves discussions about the transfer of technologies for satellite launches and missile guidance.
Preparation for possible intervention
North Korea may send additional troops to Russia as early as August 2025. In return, it will receive technologies from Moscow to enhance its missile programs. Such exchanges may indicate preparations for possible interventions by both countries in geopolitical conflicts.
The Ukrainian military command has no reliable data on a possible transfer of troops from North Korea to other directions. Russia continues to provide military support to North Korea, which increases tension in the region and raises the likelihood of geopolitical conflicts.
