Combat Situation on the Kharkiv and Southern Slobozhanske Fronts
Russian military units attempted to breach Ukraine's state border along the Kharkiv and Southern Slobozhanske fronts, but all such attempts were halted. A hostile reconnaissance and sabotage group was detected and repelled on the Southern Slobozhanske axis. Furthermore, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defense positions near Vovchansk, as well as in the areas of Prylipka, Lyman, and towards Hraf'ske. Russian forces maintain a military presence in the border districts of Russia's Belgorod region. Ukrainian Border Guards and Defense Forces in Action
On the Huliaipole axis, Ukrainian border guards, specifically the Phoenix unit, destroyed Russian military hardware worth an estimated $28 million in a single night. Between the night of April 4 and 5, the unit's pilots identified and struck three multiple launch rocket systems: two Grads and one Uragan. A Zoopark radar system was also eliminated.
Over the past day, Ukraine's Defense Forces successfully hit a Bastion coastal missile system launcher, enemy command posts, and areas where hostile troops were concentrated.
"On the Southern Slobozhanske axis, the enemy attempted to breach Ukraine's state border and attacked positions near Vovchansk, in the Prylipka and Lyman areas, and towards Hraf'ske," stated the Joint Forces Command.These events underscore the continued intensity of combat and the volatile situation in eastern Ukraine.
