Russia is advancing on Myrnohrad: Ukrainian troops are defending and capturing occupiers

Російські війська активізують наступ у Мирнограді: українські військові відбивають атаки та затримують ворога.

Situation in Myrnohrad

Russian troops are intensifying their offensive on Myrnohrad, trying to encircle the city and cut it off from Pokrovsk. Currently, the enemy is advancing towards the villages of Rivne and Svitle, creating a threat to local residents and Ukrainian troops. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are conducting defensive operations; in particular, air assault units are actively holding back the enemy's advance in the area of Krasnyi Lyman.

Defensive actions of the Ukrainian troops

As part of these defensive operations, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade managed to capture four Russian occupiers. Among the captives, three turned out to be former prisoners. It is known that the captives were held in a basement without food and water for four days, indicating harsh conditions of detention.

The command of the Ukrainian troops stated about the reinforcement of the grouping in the city to protect the southern outskirts. As noted by a representative of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Air Assault Forces:

“We are strengthening our grouping in the city to protect the southern outskirts” - a representative of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Air Assault Forces.

The situation in the region remains tense, as the escalation of hostilities indicates a possible intensification of the conflict. The defensive actions of the Ukrainian troops demonstrate their determination to protect the territory, as well as indicate adaptation to new challenges at the front. It is important to monitor further developments, as they may have a significant impact on the situation as a whole.
