Russian troops shelled residential buildings in the Kharkiv region on New Year's night, resulting in fires in the Chuhuiv and Kup'yansk districts. They attacked residential houses with drones, causing significant destruction.

Consequences of the attack

In the Kup'yansk district, the fire covered an area of 110 square meters. A garage, an outbuilding, and a private house were damaged. In the Chuhuiv district, the fire spread to multi-apartment and private residential buildings, causing harm to residents.

To eliminate the consequences of the attack, 40 rescuers and 8 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved. The situation at the emergency sites remains under control, but the consequences of the shelling require significant efforts to eliminate.

This incident is part of the ongoing war in Ukraine, where shelling of civilian infrastructure has become regular.
