Armenia's Parliamentary Election
Sergey Naryshkin, head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, has openly questioned the legitimacy of Armenia's parliamentary elections, which saw the party of incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claim victory. Based on the official tally, three political forces have secured seats in the new convocation of the National Assembly:
- Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party garnered 49.74% of the votes, earning 64 out of 101 mandates.
- The Strong Armenia party, led by Samvel Karapetyan, received 23.27% of the votes and 29 mandates.
- The Armenia bloc, headed by Robert Kocharyan, obtained 9.92% of the votes, which translates to 12 mandates.
