Vladislav Korobko, commander of the FPV unit of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade's drone battalion, shared this during the marathon broadcast 'United News'.
According to him, the strategic goal of the occupiers is to push Ukrainian units to the line of the Oskil and Siversky Donets rivers. Meanwhile, the enemy's pace of advancement remains minimal - the Russians suffer huge losses, losing company after company for the sake of capturing even a single position.
Despite this, the intensity of attacks from the enemy only increases. The Russian troops are massively using FPV drones and strike unmanned aerial vehicles with the aim of reaching Sviatohirsk and controlling the strategically important route Izium – Kharkiv – Kramatorsk – Sloviansk.
The situation in the rear zone is particularly dangerous as the enemy actively uses remote mining and 'waiting' drones.
'Remote mining is becoming increasingly sophisticated in terms of camouflage - this is a true art. What seems to be a branch may turn out to be a mine, an ordinary pebble - an anti-personnel explosive. Our latest equipment losses are primarily due to remote mines. Detecting well-camouflaged munitions is extremely difficult. They are placed not only on roads and can be triggered remotely, for example, in response to changes in magnetic fields,' Korobko explained.
Such tactics by the enemy create serious challenges for the Ukrainian military, requiring heightened vigilance and constant improvement of counteraction methods.
Continuous provocations by Russian troops on the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions pose a serious threat to Ukrainian security, necessitating strengthened defense measures and responses to potential dangers.
