NATO General: Russia Provokes the Alliance for Further Escalation

Генерал НАТО: Агресивні дії Росії сприяють загостренню ситуації в регіоні.

Russia continues to provoke NATO, urging allies to respond hastily. General Ingo Gerhartz emphasizes that such actions aim to escalate the conflict, although Russia itself does not violate Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.

The expert notes that Russia uses new methods of provocation in the 'gray zone' to push NATO towards weakness and division among allies. This includes provocations, sabotage, cyberattacks, and disinformation, which are difficult to respond to.

The need to deter Russia's actions is highlighted as an important issue. However, the general believes that plans and possibilities should be considered to avoid conflict and further escalation.

NATO emphasizes its readiness to defend every inch and respond to any threats from Russia. Measures are being introduced to increase defense spending and strengthen capabilities to respond to potential threats.

In the current conditions of conflicts and tensions between Russia and NATO, it is important to be prepared for unforeseen situations and ensure effective deterrence mechanisms to avoid further escalation of the conflict and to ensure security and stability at the international level.
