Russian strikes on Dnipro region
On June 13, 2026, Russian forces launched an aerial attack on the Vasylkiv community in the Dnipro region, dropping 12 guided bombs on a local market. Nine people were injured in the assault, with six requiring hospitalization. Among the victims, a 40-year-old man remains in critical condition.
Over the past day, the enemy struck communities across the region more than 20 times, using drones and aerial bombs. The Synelnykove district was hit hardest, with attacks targeting not only the Vasylkiv community but also:
- Mykolaiv community
- Petropavlivka community
- Shakhtarske community
The strikes damaged multiple apartment buildings, private homes, and vehicles.
In addition, Russian forces targeted the Nikopol district, including the cities of Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Myriv communities. In Kamianske, an infrastructure facility was hit. Meanwhile, over the past day, Russian forces also attacked communities in the Sumy region, where shelling killed two women in the Shostka community and wounded 16 others.

The situation in the region remains tense as attacks continue, with the impact of the strikes being felt across many communities.
Humanitarian toll of the attacks
These events highlight the escalating conflict in Ukraine, particularly in the Dnipro region, where Russian forces continue to actively target civilian infrastructure. The humanitarian dimension is critical, as numerous wounded people require medical care, and damage to infrastructure could have long-term consequences for local residents. Furthermore, the deteriorating security situation in this area raises concerns about broader stability in Ukraine, as attacks may spill over into neighboring regions.
The ongoing violence in the Dnipro region is part of a larger pattern of attacks that have recently escalated. Just days prior, drone and artillery strikes targeted the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in casualties and significant injuries among civilians. This troubling trend underscores the urgent need to assess the full humanitarian impact of these assaults.
