A talented kickboxer, Karina Bahur, was killed in a missile strike in the Kharkiv region. The girl, who was a champion of Ukraine and Europe in kickboxing and Cossack duel, sustained fatal injuries while taking shelter in a basement during the shelling. The world of sports has also lost former football player Andriy Polunin, who died after a veterans' match in Lutsk. The next tragedy occurred at the front, where renowned athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk was killed.
