On the night of July 4, Russia struck Ukraine using 550 targets - one of the largest air strikes. The extinguishing of fires and debris clearance is ongoing. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Zelensky, this was 'one of the most massive air strikes, demonstratively significant and cynical'.
The attack employed Russian-Iranian Shahed drones and missiles, including ballistic missiles. Interestingly, this occurred during discussions of President Trump's phone call with Putin, added Zelensky.
Affected regions and defense against attacks
In addition to Kyiv, five other regions were affected by the attack. Currently, there are 23 injured individuals receiving assistance. The President emphasized the need for support in defending against ballistic missiles and sanction pressure on Russia.
According to Zelensky, 'Patriots and missiles for them are real life protectors'.
To improve the situation, pressure on Russia needs to be increased, which requires cooperation with partners, particularly the USA. Earlier, there were attacks on six regions of Ukraine, resulting in the death of an F-16 pilot.
