Attack on Odesa Region
On April 26, Russian forces launched a drone attack targeting the port and logistics infrastructure of the Odesa region. The strike hit port facilities, damaging a civilian vessel sailing under the flag of Palau that was loading cargo at the time of the attack.
According to reports, the following were also damaged:
- warehouses;
- technical equipment;
- cargo storage tanks;
- administrative buildings;
- freight vehicles.
The attack also struck a residential neighborhood, where debris from downed drones shattered windows in a five-story building. A privately owned car was also damaged. A fire broke out at an industrial facility, which was extinguished by State Emergency Service (SES) rescuers.
One person was injured in the assault and is receiving medical treatment at a regional hospital; their condition is stable. Law enforcement officers are working at the damaged sites. According to Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba, the port and logistics infrastructure of the region was once again the primary target. Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper noted that enemy 'Shahed' drones terrorized the area for several hours.
Situation in Chernihiv Region
Meanwhile, the past day and the morning of April 26 were tense for residents of the Chernihiv region, where Russian forces also used artillery and attack drones.
