Russia has lost over 1.1 million soldiers: new data from the General Staff

The morning bulletin from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine somewhat lifted the mood on Monday, September 29, 2025, when it updated the numerous losses of Russian occupiers.



Russian losses in the war as of September 28, 2025


As of the previous day, September 28, Russia reported the following losses in the war against Ukraine:



  • personnel - approximately 1,109,590 (+1,080);

  • tanks - 11,218 (+7);

  • armored fighting vehicles - 23,290 (+0);

  • artillery systems - 33,284 (+53);

  • MLRS - 1,504 (+1);

  • air defense systems - 1,224 (+1);

  • aircraft - 427 (+0);

  • helicopters - 345 (+0);

  • tactical-level UAVs - 65,002 (+617);

  • cruise missiles - 3,790 (+43);

  • ships / boats - 28 (+0);

  • submarines - 1 (+0);

  • automotive vehicles and fuel tankers - 63,151 (+111);

  • special equipment - 3,979 (+2).



Let us recall that the full-scale war in Ukraine has now reached its 1,314th day.


In the war on September 28, 2025, Russian occupiers suffered significant losses both in military equipment and personnel. This suggests the undeniable fact that Ukrainian troops continue to actively resist the aggressor on all fronts.
