Russia has lost over 1,100,000 soldiers: new data from the General Staff as of October 9

According to updated information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on October 9, 2025, Russian occupiers suffered significant losses.



Updated losses of Russia in the war as of October 9, 2025


As of October 9, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:



  • personnel - about 1,119,390 (+1,020) people;

  • tanks - 11,241 (+1) units;

  • armored combat vehicles - 23,325 (+1) units;

  • artillery systems - 33,534 (+15) units;

  • MLRS - 1,517 (+0) units;

  • air defense systems - 1,225 (+0) units;

  • aircraft - 427 (+0) units;

  • helicopters - 346 (+0) units;

  • tactical level UAVs - 68,293 (+328) units;

  • cruise missiles - 3,841 (+0) units;

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0) units;

  • submarines - 1 (+0) unit;

  • automotive equipment and fuel trucks - 63,705 (+55) units;

  • special equipment - 3,973 (+0) units.



The duration of the full-scale war in Ukraine reaches 1,324 days.



The updated information reflects the real consequences of military actions and the losses of Russian occupiers in the conflict with Ukraine as of October 9, 2025. The increase in the number of losses indicates active operations and the resistance that Ukrainian forces oppose to the enemy, as well as the duration and intensity of the conflict.
