The Ukrainian Armed Forces' headquarters has provided fresh information on the losses of Russian occupiers as of August 2, 2025.


Russia's losses in the war as of August 2, 2025


According to the received data, on this date, the Russian side has suffered the following losses in the war with Ukraine:



  • personnel - about 1,055,210 people;

  • tanks - 11,068 units;

  • armored fighting vehicles - 23,069 units;

  • artillery systems - 30,982 units;

  • multiple launch rocket systems - 1,452 units;

  • air defense systems - 1,203 units;

  • aircraft - 421 units;

  • helicopters - 340 units;

  • tactical drones - 49,196 units;

  • cruise missiles - 3,551 units;

  • ships / boats - 28 units;

  • submarines - 1 unit;

  • automotive vehicles and tank trucks - 57,024 units;

  • special equipment - 3,935 units.



It is also reported that 1,256 days have already passed since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.



The disclosed data on the losses of the Russian troops amid the prolonged war in Ukraine demonstrate a high level of resistance and dedication of the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence and territorial integrity.
