Russian Military Strikes Intensify Across Ukraine
In the past week, Russian forces have carried out a wave of assaults on Ukraine, deploying more than 1,900 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 25 missiles. These strikes have affected multiple regions including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia, causing damage to both infrastructure and civilians.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, over 800 of the drones used were jet-powered. Remarkably, during one night alone, Russian troops launched 135 strike drones, with more than 50 being jet-propelled. The attacks resulted in serious consequences on Ukrainian soil:
- One fatality occurred after a strike hit a medical supplies warehouse in Sumy.
- Six people were injured following a missile attack on a communications facility in Dnipro.

A drone strike targeted the Northern Bridge in Kyiv early in the morning. President Zelensky expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and emphasized the crucial role of international solidarity:

German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz is currently visiting Kyiv, engaging in discussions on cooperation and aid to Ukraine. Zelensky highlighted that "we are preparing measures to enhance defense capabilities in Ukraine and across Europe," underlining the necessity of united efforts to halt Russian aggression.
