In July, Russian troops continued active offensive actions, occupying 564 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. This figure is almost unchanged from June, remaining within the statistical error margin, reports

Analysis of territorial losses
Analysts analyzed the ratio between the number of assaults and captured territories. The largest territorial losses were recorded in the Novopavlovsk direction – 34% of all captured areas, although this direction accounted for only 12% of assault actions. This indicates a high efficiency of enemy actions.
Other directions are as follows:
- Pokrovsk – 22% of captured territories with 35% assaults;
- Lyman – 12% sq. km (15% assaults);
- Kharkiv (including Kupiansk) – 9% sq. km (9% assaults);
- Toretsk – 5% sq. km (5% assaults);
- Severetsk – 4% sq. km (4% assaults);
- Zaporizhzhia – 3% sq. km (1.3% assaults);
- Sumy – no territorial losses, however, 11% of assault attacks were directed at this area.
Effectiveness of enemy actions
As a result of the correlation analysis, it was found that the most 'effective' for the occupiers are the Novopavlovsk direction, where the enemy succeeds with less effort. At the same time, in the Pokrovsk and Sumy directions, despite intense attacks, the results for the enemy are minimal, which may indicate strong defense by Ukrainian forces.
Attacks on Balakliia and Kharkiv region
Earlier we reported that Russian terrorists attacked Balakliia in the Kharkiv region with 'Shahed' drones on the night of Friday, August 1. Several hits were recorded in the city. This was reported by "Glavkom" with reference to the head of the Balakliia Military Administration, Vitalii Karabanov.
"The strikes hit a civilian industrial enterprise. A fire broke out at the scene," the report says.
The report on the activity of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine shows that territorial occupation continues, and the analysis of territorial losses and enemy actions indicates a high efficiency of attacks in some directions. Attacks on civilians in Balakliia and Kharkiv region suggest an unquenchable threat from Russian terrorists.
