Operations of the Russian Armed Forces on January 9
Since the beginning of January 9, the Russian Armed Forces have launched two missile and 23 aviation strikes, leading to significant combat clashes on the front. A total of 165 combat clashes were recorded in a day, indicating an escalation of hostilities and serious losses for the enemy in various directions.
During the day, 36 missiles were used and 72 guided bombs were dropped. In addition, 3,967 kamikaze drones were involved, and 2,795 shellings were carried out. In the Pokrovsk direction, the destruction of 85 occupiers was recorded, of which 60 were irreversible. Also destroyed were:

- 1 multiple launch rocket system
- 5 units of automotive equipment
- 68 drones
- 4 antennas
- 1 satellite communication terminal
Situation on the Front
Significant activity has been noted in various directions of the front. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, more than 104 shellings were carried out. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions nine times. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made 6 attempts to advance, while in the Lysychansk direction, 14 assault actions were repelled. In the Kostiantynivka direction, 19 combat clashes occurred, in the Oleksandrivka direction - 18 attacks by the invaders, and in the Huliaipole direction - 25 encounters.
As of 22:00 on January 9, the 1416th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine continues, and the situation remains tense.
