Combined strike on Ukraine December 6, 2023
On December 6, 2023, Russia launched a combined strike on Ukraine, using Shaheds, ballistic and cruise missiles. Explosions were recorded in several regions, including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Chernihiv, and Volyn. This attack resulted in numerous casualties and damage.
Lost lives and damage
In Kyiv region, three people were injured as a result of the shelling. Among the injured:
- A 46-year-old woman who was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds;
- A 42-year-old man who was injured in Fastiv.
A fire occurred in the village of Novi Petrivtsi covering an area of 5500 sq. m., as a result of the attack.
Dnipropetrovsk region also suffered significant losses. Here, three individuals were injured:
- A 37-year-old man;
- A 65-year-old man;
- A 75-year-old woman.
In Nikopol, an 11-year-old boy was injured due to artillery shelling. At the same time, air defense forces in Dnipropetrovsk region destroyed 40 drones trying to attack the area.
In Odesa region, an energy facility was damaged as a result of the strike. On the night of December 5 to 6, Russian forces struck the energy infrastructure in several regions, complicating the situation in the area. Explosions and attacks on infrastructure have caused concern among the local population and require urgent measures to restore security and stability in Ukraine.
This attack continues the trend of escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, accompanied by significant humanitarian consequences for the civilian population. Attacks on energy infrastructure particularly highlight the threats faced by Ukrainians, as they can lead to disruptions in the supply of electricity and other critical resources. The situation requires active actions by Ukrainian forces and the international community to ensure safety and protect human rights in the region.
