Elimination of the consequences of the shelling in Kyiv

In Kyiv and the region, the elimination of the consequences of the massive Russian shelling is ongoing, as a result of which four people died, including an ambulance worker. This attack occurred against the backdrop of significant cooling, further complicating the situation for residents of the capital and its surroundings. As a result of the shelling, 20 residential buildings were damaged, and dozens of people were injured.

Details of the attack

Russian forces launched:

  • 242 drones,
  • 22 cruise missiles,
  • 13 ballistic missiles.

In particular, a launch of the medium-range ballistic missile 'Oreshnik' was recorded. One of the consequences of the attack was also damage to the building of the Embassy of Qatar in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, commented on this situation, noting that the attack is aimed at ordinary people's everyday life.

He emphasized that Russia must receive signals about the need to focus on diplomacy and feel the consequences of its actions that lead to killings and the destruction of infrastructure.

In connection with these events, a meeting of the Energy Headquarters was held, during which the timelines for restoring heating and electricity supply to the affected areas were discussed. The authorities continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the shelling and providing assistance to those affected.

This shelling is yet another manifestation of Russia's military aggression, which leads to significant human and material losses in Ukraine. During the winter period, when the air temperature drops, the destruction of infrastructure becomes particularly critical as residents are left without heating and electricity. The authorities continue efforts to restore normal living conditions for those affected, but the situation remains tense due to constant threats from the aggressor.
