Russia attacked the ports of Odesa with ballistic missiles: damage to vessels and infrastructure

The Russian army struck civil ports in Odesa using Shahed drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, facilities and vessels in the ports were damaged.



As a result of the strike on the Odesa port, an employee of a private company was injured, and a container loader was damaged. In the Chornomorsk port, a ferry flying the Turkish flag was damaged, but there were no casualties among the crew. A fire broke out on one of the vessels, which emergency services have already localized.



'The strike is aimed at civil logistics and commercial shipping. Russia systematically attacks port infrastructure that provides transportation of food and goods for global markets.'


An assessment of the damage is underway, and restoration of maritime infrastructure in the Odesa ports has begun. Attacks on civil ports require an international response to ensure the safety of navigation and to make demands against the aggressor country.
