Attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian forces have struck the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring at least one person. The attacks, carried out with guided aerial bombs and a drone, targeted the Malomykhailivska and Pokrovska communities in the Synelnykove district. The strikes ignited fires in a school building and a private home, and damaged at least 15 private houses and a three-story residential building.
There are concerns that people may be trapped under the rubble. One man was wounded and hospitalized. The Pokrovska community in the Nikopol district was also hit. These assaults are part of a wider escalation, as Russia has recently targeted critical energy infrastructure elsewhere in Ukraine. On February 24, the enemy attacked production facilities of Naftogaz with drones and struck gas infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, forcing a halt to operations at that site.
Regional Situation
The situation in the region remains difficult, with local emergency services continuing to work on clearing the aftermath of the shelling.
These attacks underscore Russia's ongoing aggression, which continues to inflict severe harm on Ukraine's civilian population and infrastructure. Given the recent strikes on strategic facilities, regional tensions are likely to persist, as each new bombardment leads to further casualties and destruction. While local responders are working to address the consequences, the risks to civilian safety remain critically high.
