Drone Strike on Dnipro Damages Apartment Block, Injuring Civilians

Атака дронів на Дніпро: зруйновані квартири та постраждалі мирні жителі

Drone and Missile Attacks Target Multiple Ukrainian Cities

Russian forces launched a drone attack on the city of Dnipro, causing a 16-story residential building to partially collapse. Fires broke out across two apartments, covering a total area of 200 square meters. Rescue workers evacuated 16 people from the upper floors of the damaged structure. Preliminary reports indicate six people were injured, including one child. These attacks are part of a sustained campaign targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which has intensified in recent months.

Emergency services established a psychological support center on-site, where State Emergency Service psychologists provided aid to 11 victims. A heating station was also set up to provide comfort for residents. More than 50 rescue personnel and 17 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service were deployed to manage the aftermath of the strike.

Widespread Overnight Assault

In addition to Dnipro, the city of Kryvyi Rih endured over ten hours of drone assaults and was also struck by a ballistic missile. In the Kyiv region, several communities reported falling debris from a downed Russian drone. In the Vyshhorod district, the blast wave from an attack damaged the windows of a private house, but no injuries were reported there. An attack on the Odesa region overnight resulted in the death of a young man.

These events underscore the ongoing pattern of Russian aggression against Ukrainian territory, particularly the use of drones to target civilian areas. The response to such incidents highlights the critical need not only for immediate medical aid but also for psychological support for survivors. Given the persistent threat, local authorities continue to implement measures aimed at protecting the population and mitigating the impact of these assaults.
