Russian Drone Strike Hits Evacuation Vehicle in Beryslav, Causing Fatalities and Injuries

Атака безпілотника в Бeryslav: загиблі та поранені внаслідок обстрілу евакуаційного транспорту.

Evacuation Vehicle Targeted in Beryslav Drone Attack

A Russian drone strike targeted an evacuation vehicle in Beryslav, killing one man and wounding three other people, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration. The attack hit volunteers who were attempting to rescue people from a dangerous area. This incident is part of a wider pattern of attacks on civilian infrastructure and aid workers in the region.

Their vehicle was completely burned in the assault. The man killed was born in 1982, and all the wounded are currently under medical care. The volunteers and four local residents were evacuated to a safer community.

Volunteers and Residents Face Persistent Danger

Local residents and volunteers had been unable to leave the area since February 4 due to the constant threat of strikes, but were eventually rescued thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian defenders. The ongoing conflict has made humanitarian corridors and evacuation efforts extremely perilous.

Reports earlier indicated the start of a forced evacuation of children and their parents from 44 frontline districts in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

This tragedy underscores the peril faced by volunteers and local residents in areas under constant attack. The strike on an evacuation vehicle highlights the aggressor's relentless efforts to endanger civilian lives. Continued support for humanitarian missions, which strive to provide safety and aid to those in need, remains critically important.
