Initial Strike on Velyka Babka Village

In the Kharkiv region, Russian military forces launched an attack overnight on the village of Velyka Babka in the Chuhuiv district, using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The first strike hit a residential area, striking a private home and igniting a fire. Three civilians sustained injuries in this initial attack.

Second Attack on Rescue Workers

While firefighters from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) were working to extinguish the blaze, the enemy carried out a second attack using a drone. This follow-up strike deliberately targeted a fire engine, which was completely destroyed. Fortunately, the rescue personnel had taken shelter and were not injured. This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on civilian infrastructure and first responders in the region, which has seen intense fighting since the war's outset.

This event underscores the ongoing aggression by Russian forces, which targets not only military objectives but also civilian infrastructure and emergency services. The attack on the fire truck indicates an attempt by the enemy to hinder rescue operations and intensify psychological pressure on the local population. Such actions can have severe consequences for the safety of civilians and rescue services operating in the conflict zone.
