Last night, enemy drones attacked the Sumy community, resulting in recorded hits. Efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of this attack, according to local authorities as reported by 'Hlavkom'.
Consequences of the attack
Oleg Grygorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, reported two known hits. They were not directed at residential buildings. Serhiy Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy city military administration, shared that one strike was made on a warehouse building.
As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out. Fortunately, according to preliminary data, there are no casualties. However, due to one of the hits, part of the subscribers in the Zarichne district was left without electricity. One of the city's water intakes was also de-energized.
All necessary services are engaged in eliminating the consequences and restoring power as quickly as possible.
Situation in Zaporizhzhia
It is worth noting that during the night of September 16, Russian occupiers also struck Zaporizhzhia. The scale of the damage and destruction is currently being assessed.
According to preliminary data, one person has died as a result of the attack, and another nine were injured, including a four-year-old girl. Emergency teams are working at the impact sites, providing medical assistance to the injured.
As a result of the attack on the Sumy community and Zaporizhzhia, serious consequences were recorded, but services are responding quickly to the situation and trying to minimize the damage caused by these attacks.
