Strike on Railway Infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia
On May 30, Russian forces launched an attack on railway infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia around midday. The assault damaged both an electric locomotive and a diesel locomotive. As a result, one train driver was killed, and two other railway workers sustained injuries.
“Sadly, the railway family has suffered a loss—a train driver has died. Two other employees were injured. They are receiving all necessary medical care,” reported the Ukrainian railway company Ukrzaliznytsia.

Later that same night, on May 30, a large-scale aerial attack struck the Sumy region. In the city of Shostka, the railway station building was completely destroyed, and the entire station infrastructure sustained significant damage.
