The chief sergeant of the fire support company of the 5th assault brigade, Yuriy Syrotyuk, reported this, contradicting Kremlin propaganda claims about the 'capture' of the city.
'We are in the direction of Chasiv Yar, where Putin claimed that the city has been taken. The enemy has been unsuccessfully attacking this small town since 2023.'
Syrotyuk noted that Russian troops are using small group tactics to establish flags for propaganda purposes. He urged Ukrainians to remain vigilant and not to believe the speculations about the 'capture' of cities spread by the occupiers.
'Ukrainian society should not believe such reports. It is Russian propaganda that does not correspond to reality.'
Even in difficult conditions and intense battles, the Ukrainian forces actively control the situation around Chasiv Yar, preventing Russian occupiers from achieving their strategic goals.
