The Russian army is preparing to capture the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration this autumn, military sources report. It is known that Ukrainian defense forces made a successful counterattack in the settlement of Novoekonomichne, which could strengthen the defense in the future.

It is noted that the city of Myrnohrad is constantly under shelling, and 80% of the housing stock has been damaged. Local residents spend most of their time in shelters, going out only in cases of urgent necessity.

“People mostly hide in basements. They only go out if they need to fetch water or do something urgent. When shelling calms down a bit, they come out to places where there is sometimes mobile connection.”

Stabilization at the front and losses of the Russian army

The Ukrainian president confirmed that the Russian army is suffering the greatest losses in the Pokrovsk direction, with over 290 thousand troops lost. Overall, the enemy forces have failed to gain control over any major city.

The Ukrainian forces continue to effectively repel the occupiers and have dealt significant losses to the Russian army. Currently, enemy troops have lost over 210 thousand military personnel in various directions, as well as a considerable amount of equipment and weaponry.
