Russia has modernized the 'Iskander' and 'Kinzhal' missiles to bypass Ukrainian air defense systems, reports the Financial Times. This has allowed them to carry out successful strikes on military targets and critical infrastructure in our country.

For example, in the summer, the Russians directed modernized missiles at drone manufacturing plants in the Kyiv area. One of the strikes on August 28 succeeded in destroying a facility that produced Turkish Bayraktar drones. According to experts, the missiles can now bypass American air defense systems by changing flight trajectories and performing maneuvers.

This Changes the Game for Russia

Due to the declining effectiveness of the Patriot system, which can intercept Russian missiles, Ukraine faces serious risks to its military and civilian infrastructure.

Complications at the Border

Delays in interceptors' supply from the USA and modernized Russian weapons complicate the defense of Ukrainian skies. The Trump administration has already decided to provide Ukraine with additional intelligence to carry out missile strikes deep into Russian territory.

Conveniently, the Financial Times published information about the modernization of the 'Iskander' and 'Kinzhal' missiles by Russia to bypass Ukrainian air defense systems. This has allowed for a better understanding of the threats facing Ukraine from our eastern neighbor, as well as the steps taken by Ukrainian and American authorities to ensure the security of our country.
