The Southern Defense Forces repel up to 10 attacks daily on three key directions, while the Russians use up to 800 drones per day in an attempt to breach the Ukrainian defense. This was reported by Colonel Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, during a broadcast on Army TV.
The most active fighting is taking place near the settlements of Kamianske and Plavni in the Orekhov direction, where the Russians have been unsuccessfully trying to displace Ukrainian defenders for months. In the Kherson direction, the enemy attacks positions near the Antonivskiy bridges every day, suffering casualties, but continues to assault. Notably, attempts by Russian airborne groups to secure themselves in the Dnipro island zone stand out, but such operations often end tragically for the occupiers.
'There we strike him, there we drown him, we do not allow any effective actions, but he continues to try to land,' Voloshin noted.
The spokesperson shared an interesting episode involving two captured Russians, who were recently detained by Ukrainian soldiers. It turned out that their mission was not combat actions, but a staged photoshoot. 'They were instructed to reach a certain point to simply be photographed by drones. A drone dropped their flag and uniform for them to be filmed in. There are no real successes for the Russians on the islands, but they try to create the illusion of victories for various 'osinters' and their superiors,' he explained.
Such pseudo-operations testify to the desperate attempts of the Russian command to create an illusion of successes where, in fact, there are none.
In the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, active fighting continues, and the Southern Defense Forces are defending their positions despite numerous attacks from Russian troops.
