Russian troops continue to attempt to capture Sloviansk. According to the spokesperson of the operational-strategic group of troops 'Dnipro', Oleksiy Belsky, the Russian occupiers have been tasked with taking control of the entire territory of 'DNR' and capturing large cities, in particular Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad.
'They really want to capture Sloviansk. Moreover, since 2014, Sloviansk has been a kind of fetish for them,' the spokesperson emphasized.
The Russians are trying to bypass Lyman from different directions to approach Sloviansk. They are considering several options for an offensive through Lyman towards Donetsk Raihorodok and Mykolaivka, through Sviatohirsk or Kramatorsk.

'They are not achieving anything, so now the top leadership of the Russian Federation, including the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, is pressuring, consequently they are intensifying their own pressure,' the spokesperson noted.
The use of hostile FPV drones in the Lyman-Raihorodok-Sloviansk direction is constant, however, no significant increase in this type of activity is observed.
Overall, the situation around Sloviansk remains tense, but Ukrainian defenders continue to effectively counter the enemy's attempts to gain control over the important city.
