Обстріл Херсона: три мирних жителі загинули, є поранені

Shelling Targets Kherson and Chernihiv Region

Russian forces struck residential districts in Kherson, resulting in civilian casualties. The attack occurred around 10:50 in the Korabelnyi district of the city. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, three people were killed: two women aged 72 and 71, and a 60-year-old man. Three others were wounded: women aged 57 and 71, and a 72-year-old man.

This shelling followed an earlier strike on the same Korabelnyi district of Kherson at 10:00 the previous day. These attacks come amid a reported intensification of hostilities across Ukraine, with nearly 3,000 drones of various types launched over the past week alone.

Attack on the Chernihiv Region

Separately, Russian troops attacked the Chernihiv region. A strike on Pryluky caused a fire at the Pryluky City Council building following three explosions. Regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin expressed his condolences to the families of the victims:

'The strikes caused fatal injuries to women aged 72 and 71, and a 60-year-old man. My condolences to their families and loved ones.' - Oleksandr Prokudin

These events underscore the perilous situation in the region and a marked escalation in the conflict. The ongoing war has seen a pattern of attacks on urban centers far from the front lines, putting civilians at extreme risk. The shelling of Kherson and the Chernihiv region reflects a growing threat to Ukraine's civilian population. The deaths of non-combatants and the destruction of infrastructure point to a severe intensification of violence, raising deep concern within the international community. The observed surge in military activity, including the widespread use of drones, may indicate a shift in armed forces tactics, requiring focused attention to prevent further civilian losses.

The recent escalation in hostilities is not limited to Kherson, as similar attacks have also impacted other regions. For instance, strikes in Odesa and the Kherson region resulted in casualties, highlighting the widespread danger faced by civilians across Ukraine. This pattern of violence raises urgent questions about the safety of urban areas and the humanitarian implications of the ongoing conflict.
