Russian sabotage groups attempt to infiltrate Kup'yansk
Russian troops constantly try to infiltrate Kup'yansk using sabotage groups, but are currently not using the gas pipeline near the city for this purpose.
This was stated by the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Operation 'Dnipro' Viktor Trehubov on television.
According to Trehubov, Russian sabotage groups usually consist of 2-5 individuals, but there can be many of them at one specific time.
'They try to take advantage of their numbers, infiltrate through Ukrainian positions and, having infiltrated through Ukrainian positions, directly occupy some buildings, urban structures,' the spokesperson explained.
To complicate identification, Russians sometimes try to disguise themselves in different clothing and use local terrain features to infiltrate. However, all attempts by Russian small groups to penetrate the city are repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
Trehubov emphasized that there are constant attacks from Russia in Kup'yansk from several directions.
'And, of course, there are constant attacks, including drones, artillery, and everything that is possible. Therefore, the situation there is quite complicated. It is already a front-line city,' he stated.
In the mentioned city of Kup'yansk, attempts by Russian saboteurs to infiltrate behind Ukrainian positions continue, but Ukrainian defenders successfully repel these attacks. The situation is tense, as Russian forces are conducting constant attacks from several directions, using various types of weapons, which creates difficulties for the Ukrainian military.
