Внаслідок ракетного удару по Києву загинула 12-річна дівчинка.

Russian Forces Target Kyiv in Overnight Attack

In the early hours of April 16, Russian military forces launched a ballistic missile strike against the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. The attack resulted in the death of a 12-year-old girl and left several other people wounded. Damage from the strike was recorded in three of the city's districts: Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.

“We have learned of a child's death as a result of the Russian shelling,” stated Timur Tkachenko.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the 12-year-old girl was killed in the Podilskyi district, where damage was also reported at multiple locations. This attack is part of a broader pattern of intensified Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities, often targeting civilian infrastructure.

In the Obolonskyi district, medical personnel responding to an emergency call were among those injured. Details regarding the consequences in the Shevchenkivskyi district are still being clarified. Emergency services continue to provide aid to all victims.
