Russia struck with missiles at the Flex plant in Mukachevo
Russia carried out a missile strike on the Flex plant in Mukachevo, reports the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Analysts believe this was done to deter the USA and the EU from investing in Ukraine.
"Russia has likely been preparing for this strike for several weeks, accumulating drones and missiles amid ongoing US-Russian negotiations and the summit in Alaska on August 15"
Before the summit in Alaska, Russia also carried out smaller strikes to demonstrate its good faith during negotiations with the USA. The president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Andriy Hunder, addressed US President Donald Trump following this missile strike.
"I don't like anything related to this war"
The casualties from the missile strike in Mukachevo received medical assistance, and currently, the number of injured has risen to 23 people.
Zelensky's Address and Partners' Reaction
President Volodymyr Zelensky called on partners to impose new sanctions against the Russian Federation in connection with the missile strike on the Mukachevo community in the Transcarpathian region.
After the missile strike on the Flex plant in Mukachevo, Russia faced condemnation and calls for new sanctions from leaders of other countries. Zelensky stated the need for restraint and unity in efforts to counter Russia's aggressive actions.
