The Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that their forces have successfully taken control of the Serebryansky forestry in Luhansk region. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine disagree with this information. A spokesman for the operational-strategic group of troops 'Dnepr', Lieutenant Colonel Oleksiy Bielskiy stated that the situation in this direction is complicated, but Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions. This was reported by 'Glavkom' based on information from BBC.

The Ukrainian forces had been holding the defense in the Serebryansky forest for almost three years. However, at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, Russian troops managed to break through on the section of the front between Lyman and Siversk, pushing Ukrainian defenders out of part of the forest.

After that, the occupiers launched an offensive on the village of Yampil, which has great strategic significance as it opens the way to Lyman and Slovyansk. The village is also served by an important logistical route for Ukrainian units.

The conflict in Eastern Ukraine continues, and both sides are still fighting for control over territories. Russian troops claim successes, but Ukrainian defenders are not going to surrender. The situation remains tense, and both sides are prepared for further confrontation.
