Russian attack on New Year: two wounded in Bila Tserkva, buildings damaged

Новорічна трагедія в Білій Церкві: двоє постраждалих, пошкоджено кілька будівель.

Attack on Kyiv region

On December 31, Russian troops carried out a drone attack on the Kyiv region, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to residential buildings. The attack took place in the city of Bila Tserkva, where two people were injured. Among the injured is a man born in 1964, who suffered shrapnel wounds to his hand and head, as well as a woman born in 1977, who had an acute stress reaction. Both victims received medical assistance without hospitalization.

Consequences of the attack

As a result of the attack, two multi-storey residential buildings were damaged in Bila Tserkva. This event is part of a broader attack, resulting in a part of Odesa being left without electricity, water, and heating. Additionally, it was noted that six people were injured in Odesa, including three children aged from seven months to 14 years.

Mykola Kalashnikov, a local government representative, stated: 'Together with local authorities, we are already working to help residents as soon as possible. Right now, in the frost, the first priority is to close the windows.'

This situation underscores the importance of urgent assistance and support to the affected in difficult conditions.

The attack on the Kyiv region and Odesa indicates the continuation of hostilities in Ukraine, leading to serious consequences for the civilian population. In the conditions of winter frosts, the disruption of utility services creates additional challenges for residents who need urgent help. This highlights the need to mobilize resources to support the affected and restore infrastructure in the region.
