Ракетний обстріл харківського житлового будинку забрав життя 11 людей, серед яких діти.

Kharkiv Tragedy

In a night-time attack, Russian occupation forces struck a residential area of Kharkiv with an 'Izdeliye-30' ballistic missile shortly after 1:35 AM on March 7. The missile hit a five-story apartment building in the city's Kyivskyi district. This tragic incident has resulted in the deaths of eleven people, including two children: a nine-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian cities that has intensified in recent months.

Among the victims were an elementary school teacher from the Sixth Lyceum and her son, a second-grade student. A ninth-grade girl from the 16th Lyceum was killed alongside her mother. Sixteen people were injured in total, with four, including an 11-year-old boy, hospitalized. The child sustained severe injuries and is in critical condition in intensive care. A six-year-old boy from the same family was also injured, diagnosed with contusions, and is in satisfactory condition.

Rescue Operations

Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene, with 14 people potentially still trapped under the rubble. State Emergency Service units are working to clear the debris. In the Kyivskyi district, the strike damaged 19 multi-story buildings, a school, and destroyed a number of commercial pavilions. Rescue workers have discovered additional victims while clearing the wreckage. The tragedy has caused profound distress among local residents and across Ukrainian society.

This assault serves as further evidence of the escalating aggression in Ukraine and raises grave concerns regarding the safety of the civilian population.

Authorities and emergency services continue to work on mitigating the attack's consequences. It is already clear that this tragedy has deeply affected not only the victim's families but the entire nation. Such incidents underscore the critical importance of continued international support for Ukraine in its struggle for security and a peaceful future.
