Russian gymnast Victoria Listunova has once again applied to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) for neutral status to compete in international competitions. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.

In March, FIG denied Listunova's request for neutral status. 'We've submitted an application for neutral status again; I am currently in a state of waiting. But there's a sense of unpleasantness about everything,' Listunova said.

In 2022, she participated in a rally supporting the war alongside Vladimir Putin, wearing clothing with the letter 'Z'. Listunova also shared a post on Instagram about fundraising for Russian gymnast Kravchenko, whose father, an occupier, was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders.

As reported, Russian freestyler Anastasia Tatalina appealed to the International Ski Federation and Snowboarding (FIS) requesting to be allowed to compete in the 2026 Olympic Games. Tatalina is a member of the Russian military club CSKA, an organization directly linked to Russia's military involvement in the brutal aggression against Ukraine. 'I represent Russia, and I was proud when Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) sent me a telegram after my victory at the World Championship,' she said in April 2022. Tatalina liked a post with the Russian military slogan 'we do not abandon our own.'

Ukrainian athletes and federations continue to fight against the participation of Russian athletes who support Russia's aggressive policy. The admission of such athletes to international competitions remains a contentious issue that requires attention and decisive action from sports organizations.
